Hello true believers. Another post? Yeah, it's the week before school starts, and all that I have left to do is (are? -- forgive my lousy command of the English language) a bunch of errands. Other than that, I've been sitting here waiting for friends to call me, but at the same time realizing that they are not here to be found. They are: in china, flying home from England (but stopping by in San Jose for a couple days), CalPoly, Sac/going down south to visit beautiful, Fremont, Lancaster, SF, and everywhere else that is not Berkeley.
Anyway, I wanted to test this posting audio business, so I've decided to post one of my favorite songs that Mike (of Shoes) and I made:
it's collectively called, "He's Getting Old (She's a Time Traveler)"
but Mike and I often call it by our pet name, "Blank Paper."
Also: I made a quick song sketch today, and I am not sure if I like it yet. Help a brotha out.
Lastly, I would like to make the recommendation of reading the
comicbook, "Invincible" written by fan-favorite scribe, Robert Kirkman.
To sum up simply why I like it so much, I'll quote the introduction
to the first volume done by Kurt Busiek, "[Invincible is] not one of
those superhero books that doesn't want to admit to liking superheroes,
so it tries to put a different spin on it and winds up being an
uncomfortable melange of nothing. No, Invincible embraces its genre.
It's a superhero book that loves being a superhero book..."
This book makes me laugh, and always has me racing from panel to
panel -- just read it, it's damn good. not to mention, the art kicks
ass.
